Christopher's Reason is a DBA of The Resource Training & Counseling Center, a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) which supports the professionalism of the field of chemical dependency through providing the highest quality training, counseling & recovery living.
We have a peer run agency in our “Recovery Living Room” and professional counselors in our counseling division. We are a helping hand to ALL no matter what age. You can stop by, play pool, watch a movie, go to a 12-step meeting and just hang out. We are a non-judgment facility and will welcome all who drop by. You are important to us!

CASAC
We deliver the 350-hours of chemical
dependency education as required by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (NYS OASAS), to become a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). We also offer individual classes for those who are re-credentialing.
Part-time students are welcome.
If you are in recovery or have another disability the training will be at no cost to the student!!
11 Month Part Time Program
Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Post Graduate Services Include:

Christopher’s Reason is named after Christopher Perrotto who lost his battle with addiction on April 10, 2011 at the age of 22. Christopher was prescribed pain killers after a minor car accident and was addicted within 5 days and within 2 years of fighting this addiction he lost his battle. His mother Ann Marie Perrotto tried endlessly to get Christopher treatment on Staten Island but that wasn’t meant to be. She is dedicating her life to help others so no one has to suffer the heart-breaking loss that she has from this disease.
“I could not help my son on earth, but I will help him in heaven. If his story will help others, my sons death will not go in vain. I will bring treatment to Staten Island that we wish we had for Christopher and our Family. My Son did not have a chance, but you do.”
